WAYS OF LOOSING WEIGHT WITHOUT EXERCISE

Exercising is one important activity that puts many people off from the effort of losing weight. Understandably because although this activity is healthy, it is also strenuous and very difficult to form a habit of doing it regularly.
Most questions I get from very busy persons is how to lose weight without exercising. Yet others want a pill or drink that can magically burn all the fat away from the body. If you have been looking for a way to lose weight without exercise, then this article is a must read for you.
In this article, I have highlighted 7 natural ways to lose weight without actually engaging in any strenuous activity. Here they are.
1. Have Regular Sex

Having sex is a great way to lose weight. Ever wonder why couples who engage in sexual activity sweat a lot? It is because in the process of having a great sex, the rate of your heart beat increases, thereby allowing the burning of calories and fats stored in the body. Blood and oxygen circulation is at its peak to all parts of the body at this point. Scientific studies shows that an average of 150 – 250 calories is burnt every 30 minutes of love making session.
On a personal note, while having sex to lose weight is a natural process of losing weight, it should not be misconstrued as the premise for one to engage in sex when not in a committed relationship.
2. Healthy Sleeping Habit
Studies have shown that people who are sleep deprived are culprit of weight gain. To be healthy and in good mental state, the body needs a good amount of sleep each day or night. When one sleeps, the body uses this period to regulate and heal the wear and tear caused by daily activities. The breaking down of fats and digestive process also happen at this time, thus resulting in the use of calories and energy.

For an adult, sleeping for 6 – 8 hours per night is okay. Sleeping more than 8 – 10 hours every night for an adult can also cause weight gain. So if you want to lose weight, sleep adequately.
3. Engage In Energetic Recreational Activities
While many people are not comfortable with the idea of exercising, they will welcome and actually engage in recreational activities that will help them to have fun and expend energy doing so. Some of the recreational activities that even though is a mild form of an exercise but very enjoyable to do are; Bicycle riding, swimming, chasing your dog or child(ren), playing football with friends, playing golf or tennis and running across the shores of the beach chasing your wife/husband or boy/girl friend.

Creating time for this type of activities once a week, will go a long way in helping one to lose weight and maintain it if doing normal exercises is boring.

4. Drink Lots of Water & Skimmed Milk

One of the best liquids for one to take in much quantity while trying to lose weight is water. The reason is water acts as a detoxifier in the body. The more water you take, the more the toxins and waste in your body is washed out through urine, faeces and sweating and most of the fat burning process is accelerated as water helps to speed up digestion and move blood and oxygen through the body.

All the processes uses energy and fat is burned while this happens.
Studies have also shown that drinking a cup of Skimmed milk with a low calorie diet helps in weight loss as this combination helps in the acceleration of the body’s metabolism which results in the burning of fat. Moreover, milk is a good source of calcium which is one of the micro nutrients needed by the body to perform optimally.

5. Mix Foods With Spices

If you want to experience significant result in weight loss, try adding adequate amount of pepper, onions, garlic and ginger into your foods. Spicing up dishes helps to curb overeating and this results in less calorie intake which should have resulted in weight gain.
In fact, an experiment performed with some overweight people who used spices on their foods showed that they each lost about 15kg of weight within a four month period. The reason is, when foods taste so good and so spicy, one focuses on the taste and eats slower to enjoy a lasting taste of it’s sweetness, this in turn causes one to experience a “fullness” and satisfaction quicker than when these ingredients are not used.
6. Eat Lean Meats
Lean meats include Turkey, Chicken, Fish, Intestines and Sea foods. These types of meat has a higher protein content that are healthy for the body. Thus one is spared of the fat that comes with red meat.

These lean meats should be combined with low calorie diets from legumes and vegetables to get the best combination for a low calorie meal.
7. Eat Less At Night
After 4pm everyday do not take a high calorie food such as Yam, Rice, or Garri. If you must take it, it must be very small in quantity. Your best high calorie meal should be taken in the morning or afternoon. This is because after 4pm, the body is retiring from the day’s work and getting tired. The metabolism or rate of fat burn is reduced, thus taking any high calorie food at this time will leave a lot of it unprocessed as stored fat in the body.
So there you have it. If you want less or no exercise in your daily time table, try implementing the 7 steps above every week and you will not only lose considerable weight over time but maintain it after losing it.
