A person’s skin is probably the most important organ in their body. First of all, it covers all of your body hopefully and therefore takes special care!. It repairs itself every seven to ten weeks and you can tell if it has been looked after. It will be soft and smooth if well cared for and dry and flaky if left alone.
Theses are some tips are looking after your skin because if you don’t have great skin, how can you look your best.
It’s important to drink lots of water. It keeps your skin hydrated. Remember skin is made up mostly of water. Speaking of liquids, limit your intake of caffeine and alcohol. All in moderationshould be your motto. Include lots of liquids like fruit juices and drinks. Many fruits contain anti-oxidants which are so important. Consume lots of fruits and vegetables for all the normal health reasons. Fibre, nutrients, vitamins, anti-oxidants, etc.
Get plenty of sleep. Your whole body needs plenty of sleep to replenish itself and especially your skin. Why do you think you get dark circles under your eyes without sleep. Also, your skin loses it’s glow without plenty of sleep. Sleep is so important for your energy levels as well. Stress is also a factor and sleeps helps you distress.
Take supplements and vitamins for healthy skin and your system. These would include minerals and fatty acids for general health.
Follow a regular skin care routine. Try to stay consistent with products when cleansing and moisturizing your skin. Do it regularly as you need to keep your skin clean. Know what your skin type is and if it’s oily, use products that deal with that, if it’s dry use products that add moisture.
Exercise regularly as it promotes blood flow and the sweating is great for skin as it remove the impurities and keeps the pores open and clean. Avoid extreme temperatures as this effects skin.
Pamper your skin with natural productsthat contain ingredients such as milk, eggs, honey, aloe,spinach, radish, pineapples, etc.. Natural skin products loaded with ant-oxidents and vitamins are great to be used on a regular basis. These are made from rose, lavender, aloe-Vera, green tea and cucumber extracts, vitamin C and herbal anti-oxidants for wrinkle prevention. Your skin needs cleansers, moisturizers and anti-wrinkle cream.
Always remember that anything you put on your skin is slightly absorbed. Avoid synthetic fragrances, petroleum based products and chemical preservatives. Your skin is what people see the most and it’s your basic beauty canvas. You apply your cosmetics and make-up on top of it. Keep your skin glowing and healthy looking. It will pay dividends.
