It was indeed a day of class, finesse, panache and style when Gbenga Adeyinka's premium comedy brand, LaffMatazz came to town last Sunday at the Jogor Center in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The highly publicized event featured over 20 top acts on Easter Sunday. It featured two shows, one in the afternoon and the other in the evening. The event also saw stars like Doris Simeon, Eniola Badmus, Muyiwa Ademola, Cally Ikpe, Sola Fajobi, Sunday Omobolanle (Aluwe) and others on the red carpet.
The highlight of the day was the evening show in which the hall was filled to capacity. The First Lady of Oyo State, Mrs Florence Ajimobi led the government delegation to the event, the Commissioner for Information was also present. The Governor's wife was spotted in a lovely blue gown on the night. She was at a point in time asked to come to the stage where she picked the winners of return tickets to South Africa and Ghana courtesy of Arik Air.


The event which was hosted by Gbenga Adeyinka and Funke Akindele-Oloyede featured stellar performances from stars such as Davido, May D, Jaywon, Omo Baba, Phenom, Owen Gee, Dammy Krane, Capital Femi, Lepacious Bose, LKT, Adetoun, Kayefi, Seriki, Bash, Peteru, SB Live Band, LaffMatazz Comedy Crew, Isaac Geralds, Jayru, MC Ajele, Laffup and others.
Speaking on the success of the event, Gbenga Adeyinka GCON said "My gratitude goes to God Almighty, my family, Oyo State First Lady, sponsors, media partners, Entertainers, Laffmatazz crew, friends and colleagues in the entertainment world. Words in all honesty can't describe how I feel or the emotions going through my mind at the moment. I am specifically honored and humbled by the massive turnout that was recorded at the last edition of the Laffmattazz. It was unanimously agreed that it was one of its kind in Ibadan".

The event was supported by First Bank, Arik Air, Core Media, Squadron Dark Rum, Action Bitters and others.

Nollywood actress Nse Ikpe-Etim just concluded traditional wedding rites with her hubby, Clifford Sule.
The two exchanged vows in front of family members and guests on Thursday April 4, 2013 at the St. Stephen Primary School, Ikot Etobon, Akwa Ibom where the event held.
Dressed in her traditional wedding attire, she danced happily to the tunes of singer, Waje as she met with her hubby.

Apart from Waje, who’s one of Nse’s closest friends, also in attendance were OAP-actor, Katherine Obiang, actor, Bishop Ume and few other dignitaries.

JANET JACKSON CONVERTS TO ISLAM, QUITS MUSIC

Superstar Janet Jackson is reportedly quitting the entertainment industry and is going to leave US to become a Muslim. Rob Shuter tells reporters that Jackson is moving to the Middle East and is converting to Islam.

Shuter says that since she married billionaire Wissam Al Mana, she got tired of the grueling entertainment industry.

The pair got married last year in a very private ceremony, according to Shuter, and they want to live a private life away from the paparazzi. Al Mana, a Qatar native, is involved in his family's controlled Middle-East-based Al Mana Retail Group. This is Jackson's third marriage.

It should be noted that since her breast was exposed at the super bowl she hasnt been able to redeem her career and it has been downhill for her music and tv shows ever since

Final Top 2 Performances... Banky W joins Nigerian Idol 3

Finally, Nigeria's top TV reality music competition, Nigerian Idol season 3, has reached its last set of performances. With 3 performances each on Sunday night, the Top 2 contestants, Debbie rise and Moses, delivered beyond their best. During the final performances, Debbie and Moses performed Cyndi Lauper's 'Time after Time'. It was the first, and perhaps last, duet for the two contestants. Banky W was guest judge at the Top 2 final performances. He was down to earth, as always. The Nigerian pop singer did not disappoint the audience when he took to the stage in an immaculate getup and performed 'Yes/No'.
The decision of who becomes the next Idol is completely in the hands of voters. Moses or Debbie will go home with a brand new SUV, 7.5 million naira in cash and a contract with a record label. Second place winner will receive a saloon car and 1.5 million naira in cash. So, who's your winner?
